- Determine the day you and your neighbors want to close the road for a party.

Remember, block parties must begin during daylight hours and the right-of-way should be clear by dusk.
- Please submit applications at least 7 business days before the party takes place.

- Block parties are only permitted on minor roadways and strictly limited to one block of roadway. To see if you are on a major roadway, please check the list of major roadways.
- As the applicant, you agree to act as the Chairperson for this block party and must be over 18 years old. The chairperson must be a resident of the street.
- Block parties are only intended for residents of the block, not businesses, organizations or non-profits.
- A complete petition must be provided with the application: Petition (.docx) or Petition (.pdf)
- Closing the road is an inconvenience, so we ask that you get permission from the majority of your neighbors to have your party.
- The City needs to see written permission from at least 51% of the households on the block to close the road.
- This includes the date and time of the party, road and crossroad names, name of Chairperson, neighbors’ addresses, printed names and signatures.
- Incomplete petitions result in processing delays.
- Failure to complete and submit the petition results in denial.
- Petitions are only valid for one-time use; they may not be used for future applications.
- A non-refundable $30 fee is required for each application.
- No temporary structures or vending of goods are permitted in the roadway.
- Keep a lane open for emergency vehicles.
- No alcohol sales. No alcohol consumption in the ROW*
- No fire pits in ROW*
