- You must be at least 12 years old to enter the pool and/or deck alone during open swim. Anyone under the age of 12 must have an adult present at all times.
- Regardless of age, children needing assistance or unable to swim must have an adult in the pool within arm’s reach at all times.

Pool Hours
City pools are open six days a week and are closed on Mondays for routine maintenance and cleaning. Pool closures will be posted to the department's Facebook page and to the closure hotline at 616.456.3699.

Pool Admission
All pool visitors are required to check-in and have a season pass to enter the pool deck area. No day or guest passes are available.
Passes may be purchased in advance through our recreation software or purchased at a pool. An adult (18+) is required to purchase a pass and create an account for a child.
A resident is any individual who resides with Grand Rapids City limits. A non-resident is an individual who resides outside of city boundaries, even if they reside in the larger metro area.
Cash and credit are accepted at all pools. Replacement pool pass cards are $5.

City Pool Rules & Regulations
For your safety and health we have implemented the following rules and regulations. Pool Managers are authorized by City Ordinance to expel anyone from the pool area who has violated these regulations or exhibits inappropriate behavior
Visit Grand Rapids Splashpads
With 15 locations around the city, splash pads are a great way to cool off in Grand Rapids during the hot days of summer.
Admission: Free
Dates of Operation: June 6 through September 13
Hours of Operation: Open daily from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm during the summer season

We take pride in maintaining safe, pools and splashpads across Grand Rapids. If you see an issue, we want to know about it! For assistance at a pool, please inform pool staff. Additional issues for pools and splashpads may be submitted electronically through the form button below.
