Downtown Area Shuttle

DASH

Mobile GR offers a Downtown Area Shuttle (DASH) that is a free service for downtown visitors and residents a great way to get around downtown. The DASH circulates the Downtown core in a one-directional loop, with buses arriving every 8 minutes. 

Biking and micromobility

Grand Rapids continues to expand its network of bike lanes and trails. Riders can also take advantage of shared e-scooters and e-bikes for short trips across the city. These options are convenient for commuting, errands, or enjoying the outdoors. 

DART Carshare Program

DART is an electric vehicle carshare program that allows residents and visitors to rent a vehicle for $5/hour. Vehicles are located in the downtown in two parking ramps and four neighborhood lots.

The City owns and operates public parking lots, ramps, and metered street parking spaces. Mobile GR uses technology like the MOTU app and real-time availability tools to make parking easier.

West Michigan Rides is a free program by The Rapid that provides a resource for finding greener travel options like carpooling, van pooling, transit, biking, and other options throughout Kent, Ottawa, and Allegan counties. Employers in West Michigan can also use this to set up their own ride share program, making it easier to find and retain talent.
