The Local Contractor Outreach Events Calendar is a public resource designed to keep local contractors and small businesses informed and connected. The calendar highlights in-person City-hosted and partner-led meetings, pre-bid events, workshops, and networking opportunities where businesses can learn about upcoming projects, engage directly with decision-makers, and position themselves for future work.

If you have an event you would like considered for inclusion on the calendar, please complete the submission form below. Staff with the Office of Equity and Engagement will review all submissions and follow up accordingly.

    Second Quarter Monday Group 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

    Join us for the next Monday Group quarterly meeting, hosted at Grand Valley State University's downtown Grand Rapids campus.

    The Monday Group brings together construction contractors, city staff, anchor institutions, and industry organizations to share project opportunities, program updates, and best practices for building a stronger local construction economy.

    This session will feature a firsthand look at GVSU's Blue Dot project, a $166 million technology hub in development along the Grand River, a report out from Pioneer Construction on their MLBE and small business outcomes from the Acrisure Amphitheater, and updates from the City of Grand Rapids Engineering Department on upcoming bid opportunities.

    The Monday Group is open to contractors, subcontractors, and construction industry professionals at all levels looking to grow their public sector work, connect with partners, or stay informed on the local market.
