Request a Fire Truck for a Community Event

1. Make sure your event is in the city limits

Fire trucks are only available for events that take place in Grand Rapids. If your event is outside of the city, you'll need to contact the local fire department to see if they offer this service.

2. Request a truck at least one week before the event

We need at least one week's notice to make it to your event. And a maximum of 90 days before the event.  Make sure to plan in advance.

3. Make sure your event is scheduled during an available time

The available days are Tuesday thru Friday between:

  • 7:30 am - 11:30 am
  • 1:00 pm- 4:30 pm
  • 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

and Saturdays between:

  • 8:00 am - 11:30 am
  • 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

*A fire crew will generally be available in 1 hour blocks and will be available to respond to emergencies.

4. Make sure your event is eligible

We'll bring a truck to these types of events:

  • Community events
  • Neighborhood events
  • Charitable events
  • Block parties
  • School events
  • Church festivals

Sorry, we will not bring trucks to corporate events or Birthday Parties.
