Donate Artwork to the City
1. Donating art
We support adding art in Grand Rapids' public spaces. Art may take the form of:
- Monuments
- Murals
- Art on private property
- Installations on sidewalks and intersections
- Art on utility poles and cabinets
- Temporary art exhibitions and displays
2. Gather your information
We'll ask you questions about the artwork's:
- Compatibility with City requirements
- Aesthetics
- Location
- Funding
- Safety
- Maintenance
- Liability and other legal components
3. Complete the application
4. We'll review your application
We'll assess your proposed donation details. We'll contact you if we need more information.
5. We'll make a recommendation
We forward a recommendation (to either approve or deny) to you, the City Manager, and the Planning Department.
