Vital Streets Oversight Commission

The Vital Streets Oversight Commission helps the City decide how to spend money on our roads and transportation infrastructure. Here are a couple of our key responsibilities:

Oversee and guide the public investments into streets, infrastructure, and transportation system
Create specific plans for a system of street types that reflect local needs and network functions

The Water Advisory Council focus is to inform GR residents about the negative effects of lead in drinking water and the city's effort to address emerging water quality issues.

West Michigan Regional Planning Commission

Each year the West Michigan Regional Planning Commission (WMRPC) sets the course for the following year by establishing a list of focus areas. This makes the best use of our Commission, staff, and resources – and is a great way to set the overall policies for the year.

West Side Corridor Improvement Authority

The West Side CIA encompasses three business districts in their development area: Stockbridge, West Fulton, and West Leonard.
