We use a third party application called Citizen Access for our Encroachment Permit application. If you've never used Citizen Access, we recommend that you review how to create an account before starting your application.
This application will take about 20 minutes once you've gathered the required information identified in the steps below. You'll be able to save your application and resume later if you need more time.
Review the requirements
An Encroachment Permit may only be issued for removable features within 60 days of written notice by the City. For non-removable features, contact the City Engineer’s Office directly at 616-456-3060 or email@example.com
You'll need to enter your credit/debit card information to pay the permit fee. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

We don't accept printed applications for this service
