February 27, 2024 - Presidential Primary / Kentwood Public Schools Millage

Voter must choose either a Republican or Democratic Ballot (Michigan does not have party registration)

A third option is available of Kentwood Schools only for voters that reside in the boundaries of Kentwood Public Schools.

LAST DAY TO REGISTER IN ANY MANNER OTHER THAN IN-PERSON WITH LOCAL CLERK (168.497) - fEBRUARY 12, 2024

Eligible citizens may register to vote at the Clerk's Office from February 13, 2004 to February 27, 2024 - proof of residency is required.

Absent Voter Counting Board Early Tabulation

State Law now allows the early tabulation of absentee ballots beginning 8 days before Election Day.  The Absentee Voter Counting Board will be processing absentee ballots at 1400 Fuller SE during the following days and times:

Friday, February 23 - 9 am - 5 pm - 21 Inspectors

Saturday, February 24 - 9 am - 5 pm - 21 Inspectors

Sunday, February 25 - 1 pm - 5 pm - 21 Inspectors

Monday, February 26 - 9 am - 5 pm - 30 Inspectors No AVCB on Monday

AVCB resumes at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 27.

Registration Deadlines and Absentee Voting

Voter Registration Deadline BY MAIL

15 days prior to any election

**Eligible citizens may register to vote at any time up to and including 8 pm on Election Day.

Mailed Absentee Ballot Deadline

In order to mail a ballot to you, we must receive your written request by 5:00 pm the Friday before the election.

In-Person Absentee Voting Deadline

Because of State Law, no absentee ballots can be issued after 4:00 pm the Monday before the election.

You must vote your absentee ballot in the Clerk's Office on this day; you will not be able to take the ballot with you.

All voted ballots must be received by 8:00 pm on election day in order to be counted.
