Most city offices are closed Tuesday, November 11th for Veteran's Day. Refuse, recycle, and yard waste services are NOT delayed for the holiday. The yard waste drop off site at 2001 Butterworth St SW is open its usual hours that day.
Do you want to vote by absentee ballot in every election? Sign up for the absentee voter list. You have the option of filling out an application that will place you on the permanent ballot list and you will automatically receive a ballot every election. If you do not want to be placed on the list, you may continue to apply before each election.
Good news! With the passing of Proposal 3 in November 2018, any voter in the City of Grand Rapids is now eligible to get an absentee ballot! Proposal 2 of 2022 takes Absentee Voting one step further. A voter may request to be on the Permanent Ballot List. One application for all future elections.
We're offering you the opportunity to sign up to vote absentee in every election. Once you're on our list, we'll mail you an absentee ballot automatically, before every election.
You can sign up for the list online. Absentee applications are available online approximately 75 days before an election.
