Apply for the Mobile GR Event Marketing Program

Are you seeking funding partners for a free event? Are you interested in providing transportation and mobility resources to your event attendees?

You're in the right place to apply for the annual Mobile GR Event Marketing Program. We're accepting applications through May 31, 2021 for events happening in 2021.

Online Form

Step 1.Check your eligibility

  • Your event is free and open to the public
  • Your event is not political or religious
  • Your event location is within the City of Grand Rapids
  • You must be registered as a City Vendor using Vendor Registration Web Service.
  • Your event received all approvals from the City or venue space
  • You and your event are in good standing with the City

Step 2.Make sure you have time to apply

This application will take 30 minutes once you have prepared your responses. You can save your application and resume later if you need more time.

Step 3.Make sure you have contact information for your event staff

You'll need to fill out contact information for:

  • Responsible party for organization of event
  • Event organizer

Step 4.Review our reciprocation expectations

If your event is awarded funding, you'll be asked to provide tabling space and marketing for Mobile GR's messaging. We'll ask you to help us promote transportation options to your event and to provide space for bike parking. Review our expectations in the Related Links section.

We'll email you to confirm receipt of your application. Keep in mind, you might need to revise your application if we notice any missing information.

If nothing is missing, expect to hear from us in December when we announce the funding awards. If your event is awarded funding, you'll receive a proposal to sign with a list of reciprocation expectations.

Step 7.Agree to the proposal and submit an invoice

Review the proposal. If you agree to the terms, you'll sign the proposal. If you do not agree to the terms, please contact us to let us know.

Submit an invoice. For events occurring January - June, invoices are processed in June. For events occurring July - December, invoices are processed in December. Reimbursement can take 30-60 days.
