Most city offices and the yard waste drop off site are closed Friday, July 4th for Independence Day. Refuse, recycle, and yard waste curbside services are delayed one day after the holiday.

You can pay online with a bank account or a credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). There's a 3% convenience fee to pay online using credit or debit with a $1.50 minimum.

Include the bottom portion of your income tax bill when you mail your payment.
You can pay with check or money order by mail. Make your check out to Grand Rapids City Treasurer. Write your social security number or federal identification number (City account number) and the words Income Tax on your memo line.

The Income Tax Department is now open for in-person appointments and limited walk-in traffic per social distancing guidelines. To make an appointment, or for help with your City of Grand Rapids income tax return, please call 616-456-3415 and select option 0 or email grincometax@grcity.us. Completed returns may be uploaded to the Income Tax Department at grcity.us/incometax. The filing deadline for 2020 City of Grand Rapids income tax returns is April 30th.
