The preliminary water/sewer rate study will be released Nov. 15, 2022. The public comment period starts Nov. 15th and ends Dec. 5th. A copy of the rate study, along with explanatory materials, is filed with the City Clerk’s Office, as well as available online at the link below. Let us know by completing an application for our Traffic Calming program. The City of Grand Rapids' Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program is funded on an annual basis. There is a limited amount of funding for this program. Projects are carefully reviewed and ranked. We rank them based on the project benefits and costs.

When the funding for the current year has been spent, we hold approved projects for the next year's program. We cannot guarantee that additional funding will be provided.

Traffic Calming is, according to The Institute of Transportation Engineers, "The combination of mainly physical measures that reduce the negative effects of motor vehicle use, alter driver behavior and improve conditions for non-motorized street users."
