Michigan Local Government Latino Network

The Michigan Local Government Latino Network (MLGLN) is a regional chapter of the Local Government Hispanic Network(LGHN). MLGLN is dedicated to growing Latino government employees by promoting professional, leadership, and cultural excellence.

In 2019, a group of City of Grand Rapids employees acknowledged the need to create a professional network focused on Latino employees, leading to the creation of the MLGLN.

MLGLN serves as a bridge between professional managers and communities to create programs and services to address issues critical to the Hispanic/Latino population and grow the next generation of Latino leaders.

Becoming a member of MLGLN allows you to access professional, mentorship, and volunteer opportunities statewide and nationwide.

MLGLN and LGHN are affiliate organizations of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), and the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA), allowing you to expand your professional network.

Free to join MLGLN for all City of Grand Rapids employees!
