On 3-24-20, at approximately 7:00 pm, a shooting occurred in the 2100 block of St. Charles Avenue SW. Officers responded to the area upon receiving a 911 call of a possible shooting victim. Officers located the victim and immediately provided emergency medical attention. The male victim however died at the scene. Major Case Team Detectives, along with Crime Scene Technicians, were called to the scene. The Kent County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled this incident a homicide. The victim has been identified as Angel Armando DeLeon, 19 years of age, of Grand Rapids.
