City Pool and Splash Pad Information
2022 Season Information
We have 3 public pools and 14 public splash pads across the city. The pool season will run from June 10 through August 20. Splash pads will be running from June 10 to September 11. All pools and splash pads will be open as regularly scheduled on July 4.

Family season pass (valid for a household of up to 6 people. unlimited admission to all pools.)

Pool Rules
Age Guidelines
- Regardless of age, children who need assistance or can't swim must have an adult in the pool within arm's reach at all times
- You must be 10 years old to enter the pool and/or deck alone during open swim. Anyone under the age of 10 must have an adult
Pool Guidelines
- Non-swimmers and weak swimmers must stay on the shallow end of the pool
- Swimmers must wear clean and appropriate swimsuits. Cotton clothing or toddler suits with flotation inserts are not allowed
- No food, gum, drinks, alcoholic beverages, or glass containers in the pool area or locker rooms
- Diapers must be designed for swimming
- Diving is only allowed in the designated diving areas. No back dives or back flips allowed. Only one bounce is allowed
- Flotation devices must be US Coast Guard approved
- Small toys and pool noodles are allowed. Inflatables, water guns, balloons, etc. are not allowed
- If you have an open sore you are not allowed to enter the pool
- Swimmers must take a soap shower before entering the pool
- Running, horseplay, swimming while intoxicated and other dangerous activities are not allowed
Facility Guidelines
- Smoking/vaping is not allowed within the pool enclosure or bathhouse
- Swimmers must clear the water immediately when the signal is sounded. They cannot return until the all-clear is given by the pool manager
- Weather conditions may change pool hours. Thunder and/or lightning will close the pools
- No refunds will be given if weather closes the pool
Pool managers are authorized by City Ordinance to expel anyone from the pool area who has violated these rules or behaves inappropriately.

Splash pads are a great way to cool off in Grand Rapids during the hot days of summer. We have 14 splash pads across the city that are free to use and open daily from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm during the summer season.
