Season Information and Open/Lap Swim Hours:

2025 Season:

June 6 through August 16

Due to the holiday, pools will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2025.

2025 Open Swim Hours:

  • Mondays: Closed
  • Tuesdays - Saturdays: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Sundays: 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

2025 Lap Swim Hours:

Lap swim will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Richmond Park Pool. No lap swim is available at Briggs Park Pool.

Pool Rules 

Age Rules

  • You must be at least 12 years old to enter the pool and/or deck alone during open swim. Anyone under the age of 12 must have an adult present at all times.
  • Regardless of age, children needing assistance or unable to swim must have an adult in the pool within arm’s reach at all times.

Pool Rules

  • All participants must wear a clean & appropriate swimsuit. Cotton clothing or toddler suits with flotation inserts are not permitted.
  • Only swim diapers are permitted.
  • Only small toys and pool noodles are permitted. No balls, inflatables, water guns, balloons, etc.
  • All flotation devices must be U.S. Coast Guard approved.
  • Persons with open sores are not allowed to enter the pool.
  • Swimmers must take a soap shower before entering pool.
  • Non-swimmers and weak swimmers must stay on the shallow side of the pool.
  • Swimmers must clear the water immediately when signal is sounded and may not re-enter until the all clear is given by pool manager.
  • Diving is only permitted off in the designated diving areas. No back dives or back flips allowed. Only one bounce off of the diving board is permitted.
  • Swimming while intoxicated, running, horseplay, and other dangerous activities are not allowed.

Facility Rules

  • Smoking and/or vaping is not allowed within pool enclosures or bathhouse.
  • No food, gum, drinks, alcoholic beverages or glass containers in the pool area or locker rooms.
  • Note that weather conditions may change pool hours. The pools will close when thunder and/or lightning occur.
  • No refunds will be given if inclement weather closes the pool.

Pool managers are authorized by City Ordinance to expel anyone from the pool area who has violated these rules or behaves inappropriately.
