Apply for Deferment of Summer Taxes

Step 1.Make sure you qualify for a property tax deferment

Both of these must apply to you:

  • Your income must be under $40,000 for the whole household
  • This parcel (address) is your Principal Residence (you must live there)

And one of the following must apply to you:

  • Senior Citizen (Over 62 years of age)
  • Paraplegic or Quadriplegic
  • Total and permanently disabled
  • Blind Person
  • An eligible Veteran, Service Member, or widow(er) of a Service Member/Veteran

Step 2.Make sure you have everything you need to fill out the application

You'll need your Parcel Identification Number. If you don't have it, you can look up your Parcel ID using BS&A Online.

Step 3.Fill out the online application

Fill out this form to request a later due date for your summer property taxes.

The city usually approves all request for deferments. We'll only contact you if more information is needed.
