Water Pool-ooza on the Grand! is an educational water festival designed to help K -12^th grade students from the Grand Rapids and greater Grand Rapids area learn about stewardship and career opportunities protecting our most precious natural resource - clean, fresh water. Water Pool-ooza on the Grand! is a FREE program to help educate students and curious adults about the importance of safe, clean water and how it impacts our daily lives.

Water Pool-ooza on the Grand Event highlights:

Hands-on water activities led by water professionals, community partners, and non-profits.
Kayaking with Grand Rapids Park and Recreation
Touch-a-Truck with City of Grand Rapids Public Services departments
Rain Barrel Demonstration with Grand Rapids Community College MTEC
Opportunities to learn about local water stewardship initiatives and how to become a Water Champion
Resources for adults to learn about City services and community opportunities
FREE Activity kits, courtesy of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, will be handed out to the first 250 K-2 and the first 250 3-5 grade students who join us for the day!
Special Guest: Miss Water Wonderland will lead an activity as part of her Learning Through Play, Growing Every Day initiative.

By actively participating in Water Pool-ooza on the Grand!, attendees will gain an understanding of the diverse topics related to our water resources and begin to understand their role as water stewards and champions! Participants who complete an activity passport have a chance to win a prize!

Audience

All residents of Grand Rapids, Kent County, the Grand River Watershed, and beyond! This event provides learning for all ages, but the content is geared towards K -12^th graders and their families. Adult resources will also be available at these events.
