Report an Abandoned Vehicle on the Street

1. Make sure the issue is eligible

We consider vehicles abandoned if they've been in the same place for more than forty-eight (48) hours. You can only report abandoned vehicles on the street online.

Abandoned Vehicles on Private Property

If you're reporting an abandoned vehicle on private property, call 311 or 616-456-3000.

2. Gather information

Make sure you're able to give a clear description of the vehicle and its location. We definitely need to know the color of the vehicle. It doesn't hurt to know the make and model either. If you can get the license plate number, that always helps, too.
