Most city offices are closed Friday, July 3rd for the holiday. Refuse, recycle, and yard waste services are not delayed that day. Our yard waste drop off site at 2001 Butterworth St SW is closed Saturday, July 4th. Pools and splashpads are open throughout the weekend. Pool hours on the 4th are adjusted to noon to 5pm for Richmond and MLK parks. Briggs Park Pool is closed on the 4th.
You can report a dead animal on the street if it's located within Grand Rapids city limits.
Make sure you are able to give a clear description of the location - a specific address works best. If you're reporting a dead animal on private property, you'll have to call us. You can find our number in the Contact Us section of this page.
