Request Trash/Recycling Cart Size Swaps

Paso 1.Before you call 

Keep in mind that this service is for swapping cart size, and not for requesting additional carts. Want to request additional carts? Give us a call at 311 or 616-456-3000.

Paso 2.Choose your new cart size

Here are our available waste cart sizes:

• 32 gallon cart*- good for small size family household. $3.05 per use
• 64 gallon cart - ideal for a medium size family. $5.10 per use
• 96 gallon cart - works for a large family that may not recycle $7.15 per use 

*This cart size option is only available for trash carts.

Paso 3.Prepare to pay possible fees

You're eligible for one free cart size swap every 12 months after the original date that you received your first cart.Want to request additional cart swaps during this period? We'll deduct the $15 fee from your PAYT account. Make sure to check your PAYT account balance before requesting the cart swap.

Paso 4.Locate the cart number of your current cart

This number is located on the front of your cart underneath your lid.

Is this number hard to read on your cart? Can't locate this number on your cart? No worries. Our 311 agents will still be able to help you.

Paso 5.Give us a call

Request a cart swap to one of our customer service agents. Call 311 or 616-456-3000. You can call us Monday- Friday from 8 AM-5 PM. Keep in mind we're closed on weekends and holidays.
