Are you a contractor who hasn’t previously worked in Grand Rapids? By voluntarily providing us with information about your company, you will help to ensure prompt issuance of future permits by the City, and will also gain access to useful online features. This service is free of charge.

1. Make sure you have time to apply

Completing this Contractor Information Form typically takes about 10 minutes. You'll be able to save your application and resume later if you need more time.

2. Check your eligibility

Make sure you have:

A copy of your State of Michigan license
Identify any other individuals that you authorize to obtain permits under your license. You can do this using a signed statement on your letterhead. Upload this document as an attachment in the application.

We'll enter your license information within 2 business days. Keep in mind that you might need to revise your form or attachments if we notice any missing or incorrect information.
