1. Create a Citizen Access account
We use a third party application called Citizen Access for our Addressing applications. If you've never used Citizen Access, we recommend that you review how to create an account before starting your application.
2. Make sure you have time to apply
This application will take about 30 minutes once you've gathered the required information identified in the steps below. You can save your application and resume later if you need more time.
3. Make sure you have all the required information
If you are requesting a new or change of address(es), please be sure to do the following:
Gather existing address information:
- Identify the existing street address(es) in use on all involved properties.
- Identify the number of existing houses/apartments/suites/units for each address – separate commercial vs. residential
Identify proposed address(es):
- If you would like to request assignment of specific address(es), identify those address(es), along with the number of houses/apartments/units/suites that would use each address – separate residential vs. commercial
- For buildings that include many apartments/units/suites you may prepare a list of proposed addresses (including apartment/unit/suite numbers) for upload.
If you are not the property owner, obtain a letter stating you have their permission to submit the application on their behalf (PDF format preferred).
There is no fee for addressing without a land division/transfer/combination.
4. Apply online
