Assessor
The Assessor’s Office administers the property tax laws of the State of Michigan. We prepare the assessment roll for all non-exempt properties in the City. We mail you a notice of assessed value for your property on an annual basis in January. Every year, we determine the true cash value (TCV) of each taxable property within the City. Every taxable property is assessed at 50% of the TCV.
Attorney's Office
The City Attorney's Office performs legal services for the City and provides legal counsel to every aspect of City government.
Clerk's Office
The City Clerk's Office is responsible for the handling of elections and voter registration, City Commission records, business licenses, community archives and records, and the appointment process for City boards and commissions.

Comptroller's Office
The City Comptroller's Office serves as the City's accounting office and is responsible for internal audits, payroll, accounts payable, and other accounting services. Annual Financial Reports and monthly budget reports are also produced by this office and added to overall records of the City's funds and finances.
