  • Board members are appointed by the Mayor with approval of City Commission on the first Monday in January.
  •  To serve on this board, you may not be an elected officer or an employee

Specific Requirements

Members must have experience or training relating to property maintenance.

Residency Requirement

Although there aren't any residency requirements to be a part of this board, we do prefer that you live within the limits of Grand Rapids.

Term Limits

Your term on this board is 3 years. This board is subject to the Service Limitation Policy.

Compensation

You will receive $10.00 per board meeting you attend. You will also receive an additional $10.00 for each partial or full day you devote to inspections relating to an appeal.
