  • 7 members 
  • Must be either elected by members of the retirement system or appointed by the Mayor on the first Monday in January 
  • 1 member is a City Commissioner serving as an "employer trustee"
  • 3 members are "member trustees"
  • 3 members are 'citizen trustees" - Cannot be official or employee of City or beneficiary of the system. Must be experienced in financial matters

Residency Requirement

The is no residency requirement to be a member on this board.

Term Limits

Your term as a citizen trustee or member trustee on this board is for 4 years. The employer trustee (City Commissioner) is appointed annually. There is no term limit, so you can serve an unlimited number of terms.

Compensation

$75.00 for Special and Subcommittee Meetings for those trustees who are not full-time employees of the City or elected officials.  All members are reimbursed for necessary expenses.
