City invites community members to Commission Night Out June 16

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The City of Grand Rapids invites residents to a “Night at the Museum” for the second Commission Night Out (CNO) of the year on Tuesday, June 16 at 7 p.m. at the Grand Rapids Public Museum, 272 Pearl St. NW. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The event will feature the regular 7 p.m. City Commission meeting along with an opportunity for residents to browse more than 15 City information tables beforehand. Those who attend before the meeting will also be able to explore the Museum’s first floor displays, including its popular "The Streets of Old Grand Rapids" exhibit.

Commission Night Out brings city government into the community, offering a welcoming, accessible environment for all ages to learn how decisions are made, explore City programs and services, speak directly with City leaders and see how public input shapes City work. Light snacks will be provided.

Validated parking is available at the Museum’s ramp at 55 Front Ave. NW. Motorists are asked to bring their parking ticket into the Museum for validation.

The City Commission meeting will air on Xfinity Channel 26 and be live streamed on the City of Grand Rapids Facebook page and YouTube channel.
