City Clerk confirms Absentee Ballot mailing timeline after Supreme Court ruling

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Grand Rapids City Clerk Joel Hondorp today issued the following statement in response to the United States Supreme Court ruling issued yesterday – United States Postal Service, et al. v. California, et al. (No. 26A305).

"Last night’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling blocking of the U.S. Postal Service from imposing new restrictions on voting by mail clears any confusion on the City of Grand Rapids mailing out Absentee Ballots.  Absentee Ballot will be mailed in the next couple of weeks.  If you still want to vote by Absentee Ballot, you may apply online at www.michigan.gov/vote."
