City invites community to medical marihuana informational meetings

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The City of Grand Rapids is inviting the community to informational meetings on proposed changes to the zoning ordinance related to medical marihuana ahead of the City Commission’s public hearing on July 10.
The City’s Planning Department will host four community meetings to provide information about the proposed zoning ordinance amendments and answer questions. The meetings will take place:
- 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 2 at the City’s Development Center, 1120 Monroe Ave. NW, Room 201
- 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 6 at Linc UP Gallery, 341 Hall St. SE
- 3:30 to 5 p.m. Monday, July 9 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 1935 Plymouth Street SE (Plymouth and Burton)
- 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 9 at West Grand Neighborhood Organization, 415 Leonard St. NW
The public hearing will take place at 7 p.m. July 10 in the ninth-floor Commission Chambers at City Hall, 300 Monroe Ave. NW. Validated parking is available in the Government Center Ramp accessible from Monroe and Ottawa avenues.
