Apply for a Food Truck Limited Parking Permit

Did a client ask for your services in a location where a parking meter is present? You are in the right place.

Online Form

Decide if you'd rather feed the meter

If you're in a designated Food Truck Opportunity Area, you may want to feed the meter instead. This option is cheaper, but keep in mind that parking spaces aren't guaranteed. Review the Food Truck Opportunity Areas to check your location.

For meters outside the designated areas, apply for the Limited Parking Permit below.

Gather your information

Have your clients request your services in writing. Make sure they include the following:

• Date, times, and location of vendor service
• Client name, email, phone number, and address
• Estimated number of people to be served

Use our Request for a Food Truck Vendor template to make sure you capture the information you need. Keep in mind that reservations are first come, first serve.

Prepare ahead of time

We'll ask you to enter your City business license number, so make sure you have it ready. Submit this application at least one (1) business day before your requested date. This gives us time to check for conflicts and cover the meter.

Find your meter numbers

Choose your meters and find their ID numbers. You can find meter numbers on the parking meters. You can also use our Parking Meter Interactive Map.

Keep in mind food trucks aren't allowed to use:
  • More than two parking spaces
  • Parking meters within 15 feet of a fire hydrant
  • Parking spaces that will block sidewalk traffic
  • Be mindful of trees, trash cans, and bike racks. Your customers may block the sidewalk

We'll review your application

We'll check for any scheduling conflicts and follow up as needed. Once approved, we'll cover the meters for you to use on the day you requested.

We'll send an invoice for payment

Be prepared to pay the $10 application fee plus the charge per meter. We charge $20 per meter, per day including weekends. We'll mail or email your invoice based on your preference.
