Grand Rapids First Ward Commissioner-Elect Drew Robbins, Second Ward Commissioner-Elect Lisa Knight and Third Ward Commissioner-Elect Kelsey Perdue, City Comptroller Max Frantz, and Library Commissioners will be sworn into office in an Oath of Office ceremony 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14.
The swearing-in proceedings will be in preparation for each new ward commissioner to assume their four-year term positions January 1. City Comptroller Max Frantz was originally appointed to serve a partial term and was elected to his first full four-year term. Sheila Garcia (elected to partial two-year term), Kristin Kopec (elected to a six-year term) and Lauren Woolsey (elected for a six-year term) will also take the Grand Rapids Board of Library Commissioners oath of office.
The Oath of Office ceremony takes place on the Ninth Floor City Commission Chambers located inside City Hall, 300 Monroe, NW. The Grand Rapids Information Network, Comcast Channel 26, will broadcast and live stream the ceremony on the City of Grand Rapids’ Facebook page and YouTube channel.
