Open to: Students 4th-12th Grade
Event Description: Water Pool-ooza is an educational event designed to help 4th-12th grade students from the Grand Rapids area learn about career opportunities protecting our most precious natural resource - clean, fresh water. Water Pool-ooza is offered as a FREE program to help educate school students about the importance and beauty of the water around us and how it impacts our daily lives. This event provides students with hands-on activities, taught by water professionals, community partners, and non-profits that are designed to expose students to a wide variety of water related issues and careers in water. By actively participating in Water Pool-ooza students gain an understanding of the diverse topics related to our water recourses and begin to understand their role as water stewards and champions!
Event Schedule:
10:00 am - 2:00 pm Water professionals will give a presentation every 10 minutes about their role in protecting our drinking water.
10:00 am - 2:00 pm Community partners will be hosting hands-on water activities for attendees.
10:30 am, 11:30 am & 12:30 pm Rain Barrel Demonstration
11:00 am, 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm Edible Aquifer
