State of civil emergency and curfew expire for city of Grand Rapids

The state of civil emergency and temporary curfew have expired and the Michigan National Guard is moving out of the city. The City Commission this morning discussed the possibility of extending both, with all but Commissioner Nathaniel Moody voicing opposition. The curfew lift means community members again can move freely throughout the community at all times and resume their everyday lives.
