LEAD Program


The Leadership and Employment, Achievement and Direction (LEAD) Program offers 15 to 24-year-old Grand Rapids residents meaningful job opportunities. Through this program, young people will receive unique training in civic engagement, leadership and employment skills.

This fun and interactive experience include:

  • workshops on résumé and cover letter writing
  • interviewing
  • dressing for success
  • stress management
  • financial literacy
  • field trips to local businesses and colleges

Graduates from the LEAD program are eligible to apply employment opportunities through Mayor’s 100 Business.
