Policies and Orders

Grand Rapids has two types of governing policies and one type of governing order.

City Commission Policies

These are local ordinances and other directives passed by the elected City Commissioners. Think of these as describing what directives the City will pursue.

Administrative Policies

These are directions for implementing City Commission policies. Think of these as describing how the organization will execute the City Commission's directives.

ADMINISTRATIVE ORDERS

These are directives from the City Manager in response to the evolving needs.
