SORA School Safety Zone

 Michigan Sex Offenders Registration Act (SORA) - Student Safety Zones


In compliance with the States Sex Offender Registry, the Grand Rapids Police Department has provided the following map. This map highlights the SORA student safety zones. The areas shown represent a 1000’ buffer from the edge of school boundaries.

If you believe that a sex offender is loitering within a prohibited area, or otherwise presents an immediate threat to a child, call 911.
