Economic Development

About the Board

We promote development in the North Quarter Corridor Improvement District (CID). Here's how we do that:

  • Propose developmental plans for the economic growth of the North Quarter
  • Study the impact of metropolitan growth in the area

Apply for Boards and Commissions

  • 9 members
  • At least 1 member must either be 
    • a resident of the development area
    • a resident of an area with 1/2 mile of any part of the development area
    • able to analyze economic development projects
  • Members are appointed by the Mayor with City Commission approval for terms beginning January 1
  • One member is appointed as the Mayor's "Designee"

Residency Requirement

As long as one member within the board reside within the development area, there are no other residency requirements.

Term Limits

Each term  is for four years. There is no term limit, so you can serve an unlimited number of terms.

Compensation

There is no compensation for being a part of this board.
